Hey everybody!! I thought I would post a few more pics of us from this past weekend at the lake. Kathi and I had a BLAST with Angela on the tubes....she's such a good sport!! I downloaded a lot more pictures, but I cannot find them in my hard drive. My computer must be doin' something crazy.

It's been a good week so far. I am off work next week! SO EXCITED about that! After I get off work tomorrow Scott, JP and I are heading back to the lake to spend Friday and Saturday with Terry, Shannon and their kids. It will be tons of fun! The funny thing is, you can see their lake house in this first picture....it's the one in the background to the far left.

Sneak Preview

Scott and I just had a TERRIBLE time getting JP to go to bed. Sometimes I think that he must get so tired he can't go to sleep. I needed to wind down a little bit by myself. SO....I downloaded lots of lake pictures and thought I would post them on the blog....NOT! It is taking forever! I love my Internet connection! :) Anyway, here is one of me and Kathi on the tube. We had a lot of fun Saturday. I will post more of the pictures when it's not ELEVEN O'CLOCK at night!

Too cute!

This was too cute NOT to post...... For those of you that do not know, Scott and I are part of a church plant. We began meeting in a local high school auditorium today. When we arrived and walked through the door, JP started jumping up and down screaming. He was so excited. I didn't quite understand. Finally he started saying, " Mommy, Daddy, Doodlebops coming!! Come on, Doodlebops!!" Back in the spring, we took JP and Kenzie to see the Doodlebops at the BiLo Center. When he saw the stadium seats, he was convinced we were there to see the Doodlebops in concert....Needless to say, he was pretty bummed when he realized that we were only there for church! Ha!

I thought I would share a few pictures of me and my little man! We had been on the boat all day, so we were really "pretty!" But..we had fun. That's all that counts!

We will be heading back to the lake this weekend. So, I will have more pictures to share next week. Not too much has been going on. We have had a very un-eventful week so far. JP did get bit by a bug earlier last week and had an allergic reaction. He is still taking an antibiotic before bed each night, but he is much better. Well, I will write as I have more to say, and share pictures from the weekend later!

Update

Well, I am so proud of my husband! He has played golf for three straight days in 98 degree weather and did an AWESOME job! Friday and Saturday were awesome.....he made the cut for Sunday! WOOHOO! Today he did not play as well as he would have liked to, but I HAVE to say that Scott's "not so well" is not the average person's idea. He still played well today. He was just tired for most of the day. I walked with him along with other members of our family yesterday. Can you say, OUT OF SHAPE?! Ha! It was a very long HOT day. But, it was fun. So....CONGRATS, Scott! I am proud of you!

EXTRA! EXTRA! Read all about it!

Tomorrow (Friday) Scott is playing in the Greenville County Amateur Golf Tournament! I am so excited for him! He played his practice round today and shot in the 70's. If he plays well tomorrow and Saturday, he will have the opportunity to make the cut to Sunday's final round! He will be playing against some really good golfers, so we are going to be happy if he makes it to Sunday! ( Personally, I know he can win if he puts his mind to it!)

I just wanted to acknowledge him on the blog, because I am so proud of him! I'll let you know how it goes.....

My feet hurt.

My feet were trampled on in church this morning. The sermon was "What are you trading for?" In a nutshell? What do I spend my time on? Money on? Talents on? Etc. I was fine. Good sermon. Funny. Then we talked about what we spent our time reading. OUCH. That's when it hit home for me. Don't get me wrong, I read the Bible. A verse here...verse there. A prayer here....a prayer there. I have been SO busy keeping up with my toddler these past two weeks that I have not had a REAL quality quiet time with God. I mean, it's hard when you are taking care of a baby, right?! How would I fit an in depth quiet time in? I'm always so tired. God understands.

Then it hit me. I'm about to let you in on why my feet hurt so bad.

In the past four weeks, I have read 5 novels!! YES...you read that right. FIVE! At what point in my schedule did I find the time to read mystery novels?

Need I say more.

Home Sweet Home!

We are home from the lake. We got home much later than expected....we had lots of fun! JP is on the couch watching the WIGGLES trying to wind down from the day. Scott is on his way to Megan's house to return Erin's "blankie" that I found on JP's bedroom floor LONG after they left to go home. Erin sleeping without the blanket would be like JP going ANYWHERE without his cat. For those of you who know JP, KNOW how tragic that would be!

ANYWAY, I hope everyone has had a great Saturday. Our plans for tomorrow.....REST!!! I go back to work Monday after having 2 weeks off. JP goes back to Connie's. Back to reality. YUK! I am going to try and keep a positive attitude, though. I have just enjoyed being home with my little guy.
