busy

Hey everyone!! I made it back from my girl's weekend in one piece...barely! We had so much fun! I have a lot of pics that I promise to post soon. Remember, I have to post them from my dad's computer because mine is so old it does not have a place for my card. Maybe I will try to do that tomorrow. It was so good to see my girls from the Meyer Center. I sure do miss those crazy ladies!! Hopefully we can do that again soon.

We have been pretty busy this week. Well, sort of! Swimming, playing with baby Preston etc. I haven't done any of the things around the house that I had planned on doing this summer. Oh well, it was worth it...JP and I have had a blast!

UPDATE: Laurie is doing GREAT! She is actually returning to work THIS Monday! Continue to pray for her. She's jumping back in with both feet and she's pretty nervous. Preston is doing awesome at his little nursery! He is still SO STINKIN' edible. I need to update his pictures too!

Scott is not doing too well. We go back to the doctor THIS Friday for a second opinion. The radiologist and rheumatologist want the orthopedic surgeon to remove a cyst from the back of his knee that they are concerned about, but the surgeon is not willing to remove it. With Scott's history of infections, he is being overly cautious. I do not blame him. The rheumatologist gave him medicine for Crohn's/Colitis (his blood work showed some), but he cannot take it because the tablets are time-released and they won't work with an ostomy bag. UGH! So, he continues to be in a lot of pain. Your continued prayers will be appreciated.

MY BABY TURNS FIVE YEARS OLD NEXT MONDAY!!!!! I cannot believe it! Because of Scott's condition, we are not having an actual "party." His little friend, Luke, is coming swimming and a few family members and we are having a cake. He is excited! He also begins kindergarten in a few weeks...AHHHHH!!!! They grow up too fast!!

That's right blog folks...I'm heading out to the lake tomorrow morning until Saturday night!!!! I am super excited! NO CHILDREN ALLOWED ON THIS TRIP!!! WOOHOO! That sounds horrible, I know, but oh well! I am getting ready to enjoy a MUCH NEEDED break from my life right now. My girlfriend is picking me up early and the rest of the day will be spent on our jet ski speeding through the open water...Mmm, sounds so good! I will have some pictures to share (hopefully) when I return! Everyone have a great weekend!

We are FINALLY home! We had a good time, but we were both definitely ready to come home to Scott. I will post more pictures SOON!!!

beach bound

JP and I are leaving for the beach tomorrow. We are staying in a house with some of Scott's family. It is sort of bittersweet for me. While I am SUPER excited to go to the beach, I wish Scott could go with us. Although, his doctor did put him on Prednisone the other day, so the timing may actually be PERFECT! Ha! He could probably use a nice, quiet house for a few days. Still, we will really miss him. :(

I will not have a way to post pics and update the blog while we are there, but I PROMISE to deliver BEAUTIFUL pics of all of the kiddos when I return home. We will be home next Saturday. Please pray for us to have safe travel and fun while we are there. Also pray that Scott is able to rest and is not too sick while we are gone.

ON TO MY PRAISE REPORT: THE DOCTORS RELEASED MY SISTER YESTERDAY AND SHE NO LONGER HAS HER WOUND VAC!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yay, God!!!!!! We are so excited. She is doing great and is able to do so much more with Preston now. We are all very proud of how she has handled herself over the past four months. She is a strong girl. Even stronger now! Hopefully she will be able to get back to work in the next week or so. Thanks to everyone for your prayers and support!!!!
