Vacation update

We are still enjoying our mini vacation! It is 10:30 am as I write this and JP and I JUST WOKE UP 30 MINUTES AGO!! Woo-Hoo!! I just wanted to touch base....

Today we are heading over to Kathi's house to hang out and swim. I am praying that her computer will be compatible with my phone's memory card so that I can post more pictures from the 4th. We'll see!

Tomorrow we are going to the lake until Friday. JP will stay at the lake while his daddy and I head to the water park in Atlanta....I can't wait for that!! Saturday, my friend, Megan and I will head back to the lake to spend the day. FYI....check out her husband, Brian's blog. She wrote the final post about his fight with Cancer on Sunday (their 12th anniversary.) She still needs your prayers! His link is on my sidebar under "Brian."

Happy belated 4th!

Hi, guys! Happy (belated) 4th of July!! I just thought I would write a very quick update. First of all, I figured out how to download the pictures from my new phone to my computer. I downloaded them on the memory card, put the memory card into the adapter and TRIED to put it in the computer's USB port.....NOT! It doesn't fit. I guess now I have to find an adapter for my adapter! I am so mad. Most of my 4th of July pictures of JP with our family and friends are on my phone. SO, when I figure it out, I will post them.

We had a simple 4th of July sandwich/swim fest. JP is LOVING the pool! At first he wouldn't move off of the steps....NOW, he wears his life vest and swims around by himself. He even learned that he loves to jump off of the side of the pool to me. My cousin, BJay dropped him off of the diving board and I caught him! He goes under water and everything! I am so proud of him!

We drove to the local grocery store parking lot and watched some "illegal" fireworks. They have asked people not to shoot them around here, because of the drought. We found out why. The bushes surrounding the parking lot and the trees caught on fire! Thankfully we had just left!

Not too much is happening the rest of the week. Scott, mom, dad and everyone is going back to work, so it's just me and JP. Terry, Shannon and the kids are in Charlotte. What does this mean for us? BOREDOM! Ha! Just kidding. (I just figured they would read this!) Anyway, Thursday JP and I are heading to the lake again for a day of fun on the water. Scott and I are going with some people from our church to White Water Water Park in Atlanta for the day Friday. JP and I will spend Thursday night at the lake and I will get up at the CRACK of dawn Friday to leave. JP will stay for another day at the lake. We'll see how that goes! I hope everyone had a great holiday. I will post the pics as soon as I can!

Friday night was a lot of fun! It's Sunday and I am sooo tired. After church we ate lunch over at some friend's house. We got home about 4:00. All three of us took a nap at 4:30...we FINALLY woke up at 7:15!! It was a very lazy afternoon! What makes it better is the fact that I am off work for the next two weeks..YIPPEE! JP and I are heading to the lake cabin Tuesday. I will try and post pictures when we come home Wednesday! HAPPY 4th!

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST

My sister-n-law, Amy, called me this morning and shared some really sad news... There is a little 3 year old girl in MacKenzie's class at school AND church named Erin Stewart. While on vacation at the beach, she fell and hit her head at the pool. She got up and continued to play, not appearing to be in much pain....different circumstances took place throughout the following 12 hours that landed them in the hospital ER. ( I don't want to share many details, b/c I'm afraid I will not recall them correctly.) ANYWAY....the doctors did a CT scan of her head and found that she was hemorrhaging and there were several blood clots. She was air lifted to a different hospital and had surgery to relieve some of the pressure on her brain. She came out of the surgery and is in a medicine induced coma.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pray for this little girl and her family. PRAY FOR A COMPLETE HEALING! They need a miracle!

A few weeks ago, JP went over to aunt Rose's house and he and BJay played in the sprinkler system. Scott doesn't want me to post most of the pictures b/c JP's naked, (you know men are weird about that sort of thing!) ANYWAY...I had to post this one! It's my favorite!

We had to fill both buckets with water from the ocean. He collected shells,rocks etc. and dropped them from one bucket to the next. This kept him busy for HOURS! No joke!

Take notice of the toothbrush...my weird little man always carries around something. We've now moved from a DVD to a toothbrush! No comments, please!

Every time we rode in the car, he had to watch VeggieTales or Hermie...we got very tired of it, so we introduced him to the headphones. They were a hit!
