don't give up on me...

JP and I went to Luke's birthday party today. I will be posting those pics tomorrow, so check back! We decided not to keep our Internet. Our Sprint card quit working and rather than having the insurance replace it, they allowed us to get out of our contract and call it even. So, when I need to post, I have to use my parent's computer. That is why I am not able to post as often. Thanks for hanging with me.

We are still doing okay. Scott is feeling better. He is healing slowly but surely. He is going back to work part time on Monday. We are currently trying to grow a money tree to pay all of the bills! If anyone has had success with this before, PLEASE let me know!

mackenzie & coleman

I thought I would share a few updated pictures of my niece and nephew. They are so cute!
Nothing new is happening in our home...Scott is recovering well. He has plans to be home next week and then go back to work 1/2 days the following week. We'll see how that goes! His nurse is still a little skeptical about that, but the $ runs out soon!! ;) So, that's our plan.
I will post pics of JP in his Halloween costume this weekend. He is going to be LARRY BOY. He is so excited. We are going to Scott's sister, Amy's, church with KiKi and Coleman.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!

addiction

In the past month Scott has had two surgeries. Because of the gaping hole in his backside, he is on some very high-powered pain medicines. However, it is NOT the pills he has developed an addiction to... Because we have pretty much been confined to our home, we have become addicted to NCIS. You know it's an unhealthy thing when it's all you think about during the day and you actually think that you are a part of the show!

We have way too much time on our hands....

apple farm

While Scott has been recovering, I have several friends who have taken JP for me and kept him busy. One Sunday, Angela and her sister, Tara, took him to Niven's Apple Farm. They had a great time.

exhausted

This picture pretty much sums up what I feel like right now. Due to the graphic nature, I am not able to post how Scott is feeling!!! LOL!

He is going in for more surgery in the morning. Please say a little prayer. I will not go in to any more details. It's just the same 'ole s***! No pun intended!! Hopefully we will not be in the hospital overnight, it will depend on if there is too much infection and if he will need forty eight hours of IV antibiotics. I will try to keep you updated. Thanks for your prayers and concern.

homebound

Scott has had a rough few days. We ended up having to call the home health weekend nurse that was on call today to come out to check on him. His wound (in the lower behind area) has been bleeding/draining so much they are now "packing" it hoping that it will heal quicker. His surgeon still does not want to see him for three more weeks! I won't even go there!!! However, I will say that Scott's sick leave ENDS two days after he goes back to the doctor. The only way to fix the problem he's having is to go back in and cut more "stuff" out and re-sew him back up. My question to the surgeon is: While Scott is out of work AFTER HIS LEAVE has ended, whose salary is going to compensate for what we're going to miss????????????!!!!!!!!!! Mr. Doctor Man doesn't think about us normal people who don't have a years salary saved up for times like this!

Okay, enough of that. Can you tell we're frustrated?! I know I am not posting a lot of pictures and stuff lately. The truth is, I am just trying to keep my head above the water. I do want to AGAIN thank everyone for your prayers and everything that's come along with them. I ask now that you pray hard that Scott's wound heals up on it's own over the next few weeks. We literally CANNOT afford for it not to! Also, pray for Scott's mental health. The nurse that came out today told him that he really needs to lay down most of the time. He needs to do VERY little walking/sitting. So, he's pretty much home bound. It's really hard for him. (You can pray for me too if you don't mind. You don't realize how much your spouse helps out until you don't have the extra hands any more!)
