I realize I have NOT posted pictures...I am SO SORRY!! We have gone to the hospital every day, so by the time we get home, it's so late. My pictures will not upload on my laptop, I have to go to my parent's house. So, I promise to do them TODAY!!! Laurie and Preston are scheduled to come home Thursday as long as there are no problems. As of now, everyone is doing great! Laurie walked twice yesterday, which was great. I am taking Friday off to help her at home. I am so excited! Preston is a DOLL BABY!!! So tiny! Stay tuned...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY PRESTON!!!

I will post pictures some time today... right now, I am so sleepy my eyes are crossing!! Thanks to all for your prayers! After seventeen hours of labor and a C-section, Preston FINALLY made it into the world!! It was NOT pretty, but we are so thankful to God for the end result. Laurie and Preston are doing well. I will update more soon..... Yay, God!

Still no baby....

I did NOT set this up! JP was praying in my room last night when we were getting ready for bed! I ran and got my camera.

We are STILL waiting on our baby Preston to arrive! Laurie is doing great, but feeling miserable! Today we made her walk on the treadmill AND down the road. She is about to pop! Her ACTUAL due date is Tuesday, but we're betting he comes before then....at least we HOPE he does!

Please pray for a SAFE, HEALTHY delivery! I will post pics as soon as he comes!

(I went to walk at Furman today with my cousin BJay and his wife, Holly. They are due to welcome their first child into the world in three weeks! I took pictures and will post them soon too!)

I do not know if it is because of everything taking place in Japan or because my sister is about to begin a new chapter in her life, but I have been really emotional lately and praising Jesus for the blessings in my life. I have so many. It is so easy for me to forget how much good God has allowed in my life. I was at my girlfriend's cabin the other weekend for a girl's night. On the way home I was talking with one of the girls about money. We were complaining about how we never seem to have enough. She said that a few weeks ago she told her husband that she was "so tired of being poor!" His response to her made the hairs stand up on my arm. He said, "Honey, don't say that. We are not poor! We just do not have any money."

WOW! She has no idea what an impression that made on me. God used his comment to put things in perspective for me. Yes, gas prices have sky-rocketed. No, we do not eat out anymore. No, we do not live in a fancy home or drive fancy cars. But we DO have jobs. We DO live in a home and have a roof over our heads. We DO have a comfortable bed to sleep in at night. We do have a beautiful son. We do have food in our cabinets and refrigerator. We are healthy. Most importantly, we are loved and cherished by the CREATOR of the Universe!

Thank you Jesus, for my blessings.

I apologize for my lack of blogging lately. We cancelled our Charter Internet due to my HATRED for them! So, until we get another provider, I am using my parent's computer again. Below are pics from the past week or two. Things are going well in the BEAM home, we are concentrating hard on getting our new nephew here! Laurie is having some early labor and is very uncomfortable! We are all VERY anxious and EXCITED! Please keep Laurie and our baby Preston in your prayers!!
