I should not have been surprised when my dad called me Saturday to tell me that he wanted to take JP out to Toys R Us to get WALL-E... he's a complete mush when it comes to him! All we told JP was that we were going out to eat with Nanny and Papa. When we pulled into the parking lot, he literally began shaking and laughing! It was the sweetest thing I have ever seen. It was like Christmas! Dad told him that this was his early birthday gift. JP led him through the store to find his prize! It really was priceless!

patience is a virtue (not sure who needs to learn that more..jp or his papa!)
As you know, my baby will be turning FOUR YEARS OLD on August the 8th! He is so excited! All he has talked about is this WALL-E robot he saw at Toys R Us a few weeks ago. We told him that it was something he would have to ask his Papa to get him for his birthday. I want him to understand a few things: 1) Every time you walk in to a Wal Mart or Toys R Us, you do not "get something." And 2) Toys that are bigger and more expensive are often reserved for special occasions. He had such a good attitude about it, but has still talked about WALL-E almost every day!

our weekend so far...
Our weekend has been pretty good so far. Despite our current circumstances, we are trying to stay positive and just enjoy our blessings...not all that hard! :)
Mom and I took JP to Falls Park on Friday to play and then we met Rose, BJay, & Jamie at WILD WINGS! Yummy!

same ole story, different day
This won't be long. I think I have cried most of the afternoon. We went to see Scott's surgeon for the last time today.. he is taking a job out of state!! We are happy for him, because this will put him with his family. We, on the other hand, are devastated! We just found him, and he has truly been a godsend. Anyway, as sad as we are, this is not the reason for our tears. Scott's original wound is STILL not healing properly. It is beginning to break down AGAIN, so we are looking at another surgery in the near future. Yes, you heard me correctly. I cannot make this stuff up! It's unreal! I really do not know what to say other than Scott is BEYOND discouraged and we could really use your prayers again. No one seems to understand why this is happening from a medical standpoint. What makes it so depressing for us is there doesn't seem to be a real "light at the end of the tunnel" that we can see.
So....those of you who read this, PRAY and then PRAY some more. I cried all the way to the grocery store this afternoon and I felt God tell me in my spirit that my job in all of this is to be an encourager to Scott and to try and stay positive for him. That's hard. So, for me, pray that God will fill me with His Spirit and make me strong enough to help my sweet husband.
THANKS EVERYONE!
