Quick update: Another infection began to grow yesterday on Laurie's cultures, so the Infectious Disease team is now following her. The good news is that they ARE going to let her go home tomorrow. So, at least she can be at home with her baby!! This will make it easier on mom and dad too. Mom has not left the hospital at all. It will be nice for EVERYONE to be home. Interim Health care will come out every other day. We will appreciate your continued prayers for a quick recovery. We will also be praying that the antibiotics do their job and the infections to not re-surface. On a lighter/happier note....Preston had his two week check up today. It went great! He is the picture of health and weighs TEN POUNDS!! Big boy!! Again, we thank everyone for the calls/texts/emails. When you are in the middle of hard times, Jesus really does show up in the faces of our friends and family! I am still planning on arranging meals for those of you who have inquired.
