On our way to see the Doodlebops......Hooray!

Scott and Amy grew up hoping that one day they would carry their children to see the DOODLEBOPS live!! Watching the Doodlebops while driving to see the Doodlebops!

Dee Dee is actually JP's favorite, but daddy wouldn't let him wear a pink dress...KiKi let us borrow her wig!
KiKi was trying to figure out exactly how to hold her head so that the wig didn't fall off.

Hey, these chairs are cool! JP recognized this sign... it was his first "clue" that we were at the "bopbop" concert!
DeeDee and Moe are even cuter in person.
Before the concert, KiKi called the "bops" to let them know that their biggest fans were coming! (Sorry, this one was out of order!)

Daddy and Mommy Doodle.
Do I watch the concert or play with this cool toy?

They finally came out on stage....love at first sight!

Look, mommy....it's the Doodlebopbops!
OOOh, I know this song!

Let's get on the bus!!

We had an AWESOME time!!! Thanks, GaGa!

Me and mommy.
Jamie came home from Clemson JUST to help me hunt my Easter eggs! hehehe!

Happy Easter!!!!

I will post pictures of JP and his 1st Easter basket etc. later. We will be leaving shortly to eat and celebrate Easter at my aunt's house. I wanted to share about JP's prayer time last night....

EVERY night when it's time to go to bed, we tell JP to "get his kitty and let's go read the Bible.." He has a Bible story book with different stories in it that we read. However, those of you who are close to us know that the ONLY story he allows us to read is the story of Noah (aka NoNo.) It's so cute, I sit with him in the rocking chair and daddy kneels beside us and JP opens the book to the pictures of NoNo every time. No exceptions! Until last night...... we sat down and he opened the book to the middle. He kept flipping. He stopped on the last page and started touching the different pictures. It was the Easter story! This may not sound like a big deal to anyone but us, but it reminded Scott and I of how God must view our time spent with JP reading each night! He orchestrated last night's quiet time and had us tell JP the story of Jesus in the tomb.

You can ask JP "who came back today?" and he says "Jesus!" or Jeesee!

I hope everyone reading this has had a wonderful weekend and a very Happy Easter! Praise God the tomb is empty!!!!!!!!!

Ella, Spring break and updated prayer request....

I forgot to post these pictures of beautiful Ella! She is a little girl who came home from Guatemala two weeks ago. I met her and her mom Saturday at Joseph Lott's shower. She lives in South Carolina, so hopefully she and JP can get together again sometime!

Scott and I are OFFICIALLY on spring break!!!! WOO-HOO! I am off work until Monday the 31st! I am so excited! Plus, the weekend is suppose to be beautiful! Tonight we are going out with Terry, Shannon and the kids....maybe I'll have some fun pictures to share. Keep Shannon in your prayers--she is scheduled for a C-section in four weeks!!! Things are great! Just keep her and baby Peyton in your prayers!
Updated prayer request: Some of you have emailed/called me about my friends, Brian and Megan. Brian is remaining positive and keeping his sense of humor through his struggle with the cancer. Megan and the kids are hanging in there and taking things day by day. Monday evening my dad and Michael (my little Tyler's dad) went over and built him a ramp in their garage so that we could get Brian outside. Tomorrow we have arranged for them to have a wheelchair accessible van so that he can get around town for a while. Continue to keep him in your DAILY prayers! I am going to try and swing by tomorrow to see him get out. If I don't, Scott and I are hanging out with them on Mondays (as long as Brian feels well.) I will continue to give you updates......Brian has a website brianparrott.org
Thanks for all of your care and concern!

Happy Reunion!

I had to post this. My mom, my aunt, JP and I went to a baby shower today for our new friend, Erin! (bringinghomejoseph.blogspot.com) Her son, Joseph and my Joseph were in the same orphanage in Guatemala. Erin and I had the same agency/lawyer etc. We met through blog world, but found out that she was from South Carolina as well! She grew up in the same church with my aunt. SO, when she and her husband came to town for a long-awaited baby shower, Jp and I were invited! We had a lot of fun! The boys were SO cute together! For the first few minutes they just stared each other down. I will post more pics of them playing later.
Thanks, Erin for the invite! We had a blast! We look forward to getting together more often!

Extending blog until Sunday......

I have been receiving emails every day. I am leaving the blog open until Sunday. If you have not had the opportunity to email or leave a comment, please do so. I will do my best not to leave any one out. I will close it Sunday evening.

Monday, March 10, 2008

I am leaving the blog open until Friday. I have received lots of emails! Actually I have been really shocked at how many people read this blog! I had no idea. ANYWAY.....I am going to do the best I can to include everyone who has written me. Blogger only allows so many invited readers unless you pay for the site. Obviously I will invite family first. I want to say again how much I appreciate every one's support of my family! THANK YOU! It is a wonderful feeling!

Once again, even when JP's blog is closed to the public, PLEASE continue to check out the Women of Flesh site. It will be updated after each fellowship. I look forward to what the Holy Spirit is going to accomplish through this new ministry. It will be fun to share it with you and hear your comments!

Private

In the near future I am going private with JP's blog. For those of you who may not know what this means, basically it will be closed to the public. I have several reasons for doing this. It would be too complicated to write. Don't worry--it's NOTHING negative! If you follow our blog and would like to continue, please email me and let me know. I will make sure you are able to see it. Many of you have been with us since the beginning of our adoption and your comments mean A LOT to me! I am thankful for the friendships I have formed through this blog! I hope our family (in state and out) emails me...I definitely want you to watch JP grow!

I am keeping the WOMEN OF FLESH blog open. Once our meetings begin, you will be able to keep up with what's going on and find out meeting times and places there. Continue to visit that site.

Scott's favorite birthday present.....

Wow! This is a really big cat...wonder if I could fit his tail in my ear! (those of you who know JP understand this...) Kiss the Tiger!

Thursday night JP and I went with my parents to meet some friends at the Clemson girl's basketball game. Don't panic, Gamecocks....our god-son, Tyler, was shooting hoops with his Challenger league during halftime. We went to support him. JP was in heaven! He loved every minute of it. Most of his time was spent staring at the Jumbo Tron waiting for the Doodlebops to appear! There were not a lot of people in the stands, so the Tiger made his way around the stadium. Much to my surprise, JP LOVED him too! He went right to him. SO, these pictures were for his dad on his birthday! He was SO PROUD of his 'lil tiger! (Sense the sarcasm!)
