No parent that has journeyed down the road of International adoption will ever tell you that the ride is easy. In fact, if I am honest with you, it STINKS! Having said that, God was gracious enough to reach into the ashes of the process and share a few beautiful moments along the way.
One of those moments took place when we returned home with JP and connected with a family who had adopted their son from the SAME children's home. If you have followed this blog for long, you have seen the pictures we have taken of our boys over the years. We try to get them together at least once a year. Unfortunately we missed last year. However, the other day J's grandmother contacted me on Facebook and let me know that J would be staying with her for a week this summer. We will be getting together one day to let the two Guatemalan cuties play together!
I am so excited! As JP and J grow, they will understand more and more about where they came from, and just how special and unique their bond is.
Our meeting will take place some time next week, so stay tuned for pictures!
