UPDATE ON SCOTT

Today was the best Scott has felt since we've been home from Guatemala. It was really nice to see him feeling a little better.

Our ID doctor talked with our pathologist today. He DEFINITELY does not have Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. This is good news. We are very happy about that! We are hopefully finding out sometime tomorrow if they are going to diagnose him with Hodgkin's Disease. He is showing a lot of the symptoms. At this point, we really just want to know SOMETHING. At least then, we can begin treating whatever it is.

There is a CHANCE that he will get to come home tomorrow. We are not getting our hopes up, but it would be nice. If everything comes back fine, then we will come home and the Infectious team will follow him on an outpatient basis. If he is diagnosed with Hodgkin's, we will be referred to an Oncologist.

That's all for now. JP got his 1 year old shots today----YUK! He's doing fine. In fact, he's in there sleeping....what am I doing still awake????? GOOD NIGHT!!!

Andrea, I'm glad to hear the good news about Scott, and I'll be hoping for more good news tomorrow.

I was thinking that if no one can figure out anything definitive here in Greenville, that we should call Dr. Gregory House at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital. Surely *he* could figure out what's going on and get Scott home with you and J. P. :-)

Hang in there,
Anne

Anne,

Funny you should say that--- we actually call Scott's ID team "house!" They get a big kick out of it. They all watch the show. It cracks me up when they come filing into the room together. It's a big joke now. There are about five of them---2 are MAYBE older than me!! hehe

Thanks!

Andrea,
I am so thankful that you guys got some good news. I know you will be so relieved just to know exactly what you're dealing with. Give both your boys hugs from us!
love you!

So glad to read the news. It's so hard when the doctors don't even know how or where to begin treatment. You are in our thoughts & prayers.
