HELP!!! JP is OBSESSED with the Doodlebops! I was unsure of where to draw the line until last night when he decided that it was necessary to sleep with the DVD case! He carried it around all night and when it was time to rock, he pitched a fit when we took it from him. I gave in. Once he fell asleep, I was able to get it, so fortunately it never made it into the crib. We'll see what tonight holds!
Who does this???

I'll be the first to respond. This reminds us all of our dear friend "N". I've worried about this for a while now?! Did you ever get tickets for the live show?
Daniel was like this about Barney the dinosaur! But that was a time before videos were available and there wasn't t-vo. Uhgggg! At least you have DVD's. It does make life easier. Besides, there are worse things he could be attatched to!
I had no idea that those things were the Doodlebops. I saw them them on TV, but I did not know who they were. Yikes. He has two very talented singers in his house and he loves those weird things. I guess I better get ready for all these interesting characters.
Okay, Max loves them too but I think they are so creepy! I literally go in the other room if they come on the TV. :)
Oh well...
We are big Doodle-Bop fans around here, too. (Ugh!)
My Jack takes things to his bed. We call him "Hector the Collector" because he's always bringing something to be with him... Books, toys, DVD cases, whatever.
The other night he kept waking up and couldn't settle back down without my help, so I brought him into my bed. He'd taken Thomas, Box Car, Sodor Line Caboose and "Thomas's house" to bed with him that night, so he gathered all of those things up in his arms, between his sobs, and brought them along to my bed, too.
Andrea-
It is a horrible thing but we have to pick our baddles..this i dont think is one to pick..we both know that ANYTHING to get a couple of hours of zzz's is worth it...now if he asks to take the actual TV to bed with him, you have a problem and need to run out to WalMart and buy huim his own DVD and a lock to his door
oops..i mispelled "battles"...as a matter of fact..in addition to my previous comment, Luke is addicted to Toy Story 2..we watch it at least once a night....i have it memorized already..tonight i tried to put in aladdin, and he wanted nothing to do with it..What is a mother to do?
